    Mabilisang tanong lang mga bro..

If you take pain killers 1 day after your workout (assuming matagal kang di nag buhat), will that prolong your muscle from development / recovery or will that help your muscle recover faster?

There's a friend of mine who told me not to go for a massage after workout since it will relax your muscle and ma babalewala daw ang workout mo for that day.. It sounds ridiculous to me at first, but somehow napaisip lang ako kung may point sya..

Going back to pain killers, parang ganun din kasi.. it relaxes your muscle so I'm not sure kung mas ok yun sa recovery or lalong nag papa tagal ng recovery kasi it will not rest normnaly, kung baga eh pinipilit mo sya mag relax.. hehe..

My lower back is aching from yesterday up to now due to my deadlift last Sunday. ( I think this is normal because I stopped fromworking out for almost 20 days.) I'm planning to take flanax pain killer now para maka buhat ako ng maayos mmya.

Sa sobrang sakit eh di ako maka bend para mag sapatos.. haha!

Actually eto ang tanong, nag nobela muna ko.. haha! Ok lang ba na mag take ako ngayon or masama mag take nito kung mag woworkout ako?

Most OTC pain meds don't relax the muscle to any significant degree, they merely reduce inflammation. I'm speaking of ibuprofen, tylenol, other NSAIDS. Thats why most orthopedics will prescribe a pain med AND a muscle relaxer for muscle strains. Shit I can't count the times over the years I've taken pain meds after AND before workout. I'm dealing with a pain issue myself right now in the T2 & T3 areas of the spine - I just took 200 mg ibuprofen, heading to the gym and will take 200 more mg after the workout. The bad thing is it masks the pain so you have to be careful to not injure further without knowing it, however it's not going to negatively affect you from recovering. Also, massage is great after a workout - probably the best time to get a massage bro. I plan to go get a massage today after hitting back. :)

Hmmm.. That makes sense.. May pinag kaiba nga pala ang muscle relaxant at pain reliever.. hehe.. This explanation helps Sir. BD.. I truly appreciate your response.

Regarding the massage, I think sa sobrang sakit eh baka di ko kayanin magpa masahe.. Sundutin ko lang gilid ko at lower back ko napapa pikit ako sa sakit. haha!

Game na to mamaya! Walang aray aray! haha!

Haha hey I already got their "full body" massage before. It's not really FULL body haha. They don't do the chest, bcoz I already requested it when the pecs was sore. :p But yeah, the full body massage includes mostly back & legs, with some yoga type stretches also.

    Transformation ni Mark Munoz.

Lost more than 50lbs in 6mos.
From FAT BASTARD, to lean mean Pinoy wrecking machine.

    Seems legit?

Naalala ko lang bigla yung mga before and after pics ng muscletech.
    Same background.
Pati yung sa bigger, faster, stronger na docu.
Before and after shots were taken on the same day, same background.

    Any thoughts?

Hell yeah thats an awesome transformation by Mark! Actually you beat me to posting this - I just seen it on FB haha. Lets hope he can rebound and kick some ass this weekend on UFC 162. The cardio those guys have to go thru to get in fight shape is crazy - easy to see how he did it.
  • allen101allen101 Posts: 5,102
Hmm.. you have point in there regarding those crazy cardio. Haha.
Yeah, he said he wasn't himself when he fought weidman, let's see how this transformation will bring him to victory! Hopefully Yeah! Hehe
