Am reffering to real serious gym goers. (nutrition, supps etc.......etc...).

Pero I started lifting seriously again about 3yrs ago and that length of time enabled me to achieve my current physique (na puro tubig pa at taba).
might, naitanong ko na to kay ds, but i want your opinion also, lately dahil sa progressive wo sobra ang DOMS ko so next day wo kahit ibang bodyparts titirahin ko parang nakakaasiwa yong sakit ng katawan ano bang maipapayo mo sir?
At the end of the day iba iba pa din talaga ang response ng katawan natin sa pag ensayo natin.
at might yon palang PL form sa bench press nakita kay Dave Tate how effective ba yon sa hypertrophy kasi i was shock yong 5- 6 reps ko nakaya ko ng 8 sa form niya.
Pwede naman same form pero medyo flared lang ng konti yung elbows to hit the chest more.
Yan na kasi talaga ang training philosophy ko, build some decent strength before you trouble yourself with how you look.
tapos akong nangangarap na 140lbs/10reps ang kaya palang. at per month i can increase to 5lbs sa poundage.
(Goal) (Current) (Remaining)
300 lbs - 140lbs = 160lbs
Assuming 5lbs/month increase in poundage
@dregg, well i agree on what you're saying, but genes sort of, pero sakin wala yang genes genes excuse lang yan. hard work.
so my wild guess will be 8-10 yrs for natty to be around 90% of their goal. when i say dream am talking about the likes of Jim cordova, Philip ricardo. you guys might not agree w/ me but just my take on these.
i took me 2 years para ma reach yung goal ko to compete sa stage. 23yrs old started with 145lbs maybe 12%bf, tapos nag bulk up to 172lbs.. competition weight was 155lbs with maybe less than 8% BF.
I was able to reach my goal in 2 yrs time to bulk and cut and be on stage.. kaso na frustrate lang ako kase kargado sila kaya kahit pareho kami nang timbang, angat na angat yung katawan nila.
Halos ganun din yung mga clients nko na ang goal is to add 20lbs mass with less BF at nakikinig at may disiplina... almost 2 years din na bunuan sa gym at paghanap nang tamang diet. Dun sa mga genetically gifted na clients ko, in 1.5yrs time naabot na nila goal nila..
problem is.. pag malapit na nila ma abot yung goal nila, bigla nagbabago nang goal.
sa weightloss naman, average of about 1.5yrs to drop about 20-30lbs weight and drop 5-10% BF.
note: age of clients between 23-28 yrs old, those more than 30yrs old. mas matagal ang results.
I speak for myself and sa experience ko and not to start a debate kung meron ba talagang specific trimeframe (kase parang wala naman, depende sa disciplina nang kada individual).
kasalanan din kasi ng mga fitness mags majority ito at ung mga products na puro lang pangako for "fast results". kaya yung kawawang fitness hopeful pag walang nakitang nangyari, they normally deem working out as "pointless". worst case than quiting i sometimes they bash/discourage other fitness hopefuls since thing didn't workout too well for them (this somewhat ticks me off) hahaha biglang napa rant eh.
ako? no idea kung gaano katagal aabutin yung goal ko basta ang alam ko darating ako dun balang araw i just need to more consistent and attentive sa mga small changes sa physique and strength ko overall to know if im doing something right or not.
Nice inputs from Koya braso, milks, master mighty, and dalts. Buti natanong mo din ito sir pacs
@sir Braso, I totally agree w/ what your saying tol. Iba ibang klase ng pangangatawan ang gustong gayahin. modelo, BB na huge and shredded etc.... so i guess ang time frame di pare-pareho . Am not here to question anyones ability or sincerity on their BB goal kaya sana mga opinion lang walang debate hahaha.....
@ds, like i was pointing out kung mga top notch natty BB ang goal natin medyo may katagalan, kung di naman ganon ang goal kundi pa=pogi lang para sa chicks huwag masyadong mag problema medyo madali lang yon,di na kailangan ng mamahaling supps, yong pambili ng supps ipang date nalang don sa chick di ba? LOL......
Seriously lets be honest w/ ourselves. Lets set a realistic goal. Am sure you have other goals in life also to attend to.
1.Long term - Overall functionality and strength and squat a thousand pounds till i "kick the bucket".
2. Mid-term goal - Become as muscular as i can (reach the full potential of my body as natty) before i "convert" LOL!
3. Short term goal - Change my physique than what it's currently is.
Sabi ni Matt Kroc when setting goals, you'll have to work on your long term goal first backwards then the completion of your other goals will just fall intoplace w/ out you even sometimes noticing. in short "see through things in a bigger picture and further ahead so that you'll always have something to look forward to"
@ds, i agree w/ matt also, coz we have a very long years to live on this earth, (am talking in general) . di lang dahil malapit na ang summer hahaha kaya kailangan ko ng machong katawan 8 packs hahaha. problema lang kasi minsan sa sobrang taas ng goal ng iba sa konting panahon ang alam e kaya don na nasisira ang diskarte give up kaagad.
and then again yun lang ang masaklap madalas sa mga very eager hopefuls eh apart from setting "unrealistic" goals at masyado nagmamadali sa progress is when they fail they give up entirely. Hindi nila minsan na nakikita after failing there will always be "try again" na kasunod. That's what i call tenacity at malupit mag overcome ng adversity.
am w/ you tol sa mataas na goal, thats what i've been doin, sample ko lang sa work yong promotion ko sa senior level 3 eh laging sablay dahil sa ka competensiya kong mga caucasian lam mo na, alam ko namang mas magaling tayong mga pinoy at hardworker, dahil puti ang kalaban puti rin ang director, pero am not giving up hanngang sa mag retire ako in about 6 yrs hahabulin ko yong level 3, sabi mo nga tenacity, it applies to everything.
i hear ya bro.. genetics ksi. sa totoo lang inggit ako sa mga ecto, ksi they burn what they eat.. ako i store what i eat.. langya hoarder genes toh! :arghh:
