hahah sabi nga ng lahat dito, rice is not our enemy, it's our fuckin' lazy azz and ego
naalala ko ung prep ni kai, white rice days before the olympia.
O kaya walang rice tapos isang kahong alak naman hehehe..
One more thing, it's very easy to overeat carbs (and fat too) if you are not mindful with the things you put on your mouth.
CARBS can make you fat, and so is PROTEIN and FAT, if taken on un-moderated amounts. Anything that is too much can make you fat.
good point! kaya naniniwala pa din ako sa clean eating. kasi maipag hihiwahiwalay mo ung macros mo throughout the whole day.
pero sa panahon na may mga kasiyahan tulad ng mga party at kung ano ano pa, dun papasok ung sinasabi na IIFYM, ang naging problema kasi ng clean eating nadedeprive sila sa mga panahon na ganyan.

Paano ba masasabing naka clean eating? Kapag ba 100% clean ang kinakaen? Like kay vinch ba na same food everyday? Or kahit paiba iba basta galing sa whole food? No processed, sweets,etc..?

Kasi ako personally based sa mga pics ng pagkaen ni jettie I dont consider him as a iifym practitioner. Pumapasok lang iifym sa kanya paminsan minsan pag walang choice,ex. de lata.. Or occasional desserts (if any).
Calling boss vinch para maliwanagan na ko haha.
Pero based sa foods ko 80% naka pasok sa macros ko.. I am always hitting my protein at 90% tapos the rest carbs and fat almost to so-so hit lang dahil mas nasanay ako sa laging ganung set up na for 1 year na may manok araw araw na walang kasawaan, may lasa o wala.
Yun siguro ang nag nail ng gainz ko na consistent ang food set up ko.. pag payat yung carbs ko, nauuwi ako sa ice cream, hi-ro, choco tops o kahit anong carbs and fats ratio kahit basura na protina.
Kung medyo magulo tanong ko ignore niyo na lanv di naman mahalaga to, random thoughts lang. Lol.
I'd rather say I'm 50/50 IIFYM :
1. I do not weigh my food literally, ball park counting baby
2. Chicken boobs were my stable food + kahit anong nakalatag
3. Pag nag fast food ako for sure I eat whatever the food as long as manok na niluto kesa bergers etc. not unless nalaman ko na uyng nutritional data's nun.
Ang macros ko, at the end of the day iniisip ko kung pasok ba o hindi? Kung pasok , yeah kung hindi okay lang, la naman halaga yun..
Basta ang mahalaga sakin lagi, If I don't train, no carbs, high fat, If I train, i need carbs and high fat.

Maguguluhan ka talaga dito brah, because everyone has their own version of "clean eating". Most also claim that they are IIFYM practioners, when the truth is they just dont know what the hell they are doing at for the sake lang na may maitawag sa diet nila, they say IT FITS THEIR MACROS. ask them for their macro breakdown... wala mabigay or magbibigay pero hindi tugma. hindi diet ang IIFYM, it's a dieting strategy for people who has a diet plan (commonly applied on cheat meals/cheat day). It's used as an alternative and not a way to indulge on delicious treats. kahit ano pang diet ang lumabas sa internet, it will always come down to adherence, decision making and commitment of the individual.
Part of being a bodybuilder is dieting 24/7 regardless of the goal. We can all have our own eating beliefs and dieting strategies but in the end, the person who eats like a bodybuilder always stands out:)
@ Jettie - sa araw araw na pagpost ng food mo.... nothing is the same, almost iba iba kinakain mo daily haha. TBH, i dont know how to compute your macros since calorie densed yung iba mong food at mixed up pa. but looking at them daily you're eating @ above maintenance
@Jonrivs - nalito ka ata bro, "slow twitch and fast twitch"... They are types of muscle fibers hindi carbs. unless may na-miss ako
Nagkaroon lang ng bad rep ang IIFYM kasi hindi masyado ineemphasize na besides macros, may kailangan pa tayong iba (eg. Fiber, micros). There are many ways to skin a cat. Follow what you think is right for you. After you have studied well about it tapos see for yourself.
yep, surplus ang habol ko sa Workout days even on a caloric deficit (cut ), pero dun sa rest days ko yun ang limitado. Maigi ng over estimate kesa under estimate sa workout days dahil kahit sobra ng konti o kumulang ng onti sa maintenance walang kaso basta over the week may mawawalang point o hindi aangat timbang ko dahil nasa 59.5-9 kg na lang ako, parang pag lumiit pa ko dyan ang panget na ng kakalabasan ko sa strength figures at sa muscle mass na meron ako kahit papaano ngayon.
Kung makikita mo lagi ako nabili ng 5kg pataas na chicken breast boneless and skinless , hindi nawawala yun after workout ko, bonus na lang kung may dinagdag at kung ano meron sa 12pm ko okay lang..
BTW, may sarili method ako na pag bilang na simplified, ayaw ko ng exact numbers dahil nahihilo ako dun at malamang hindi ko masundan ng tama yun. 100g = 20g protein, 150g rice = 100g carbs simple, I don't count 1g na sobra o point, dahil dun ko inumpisahan.
Kung sino man dito na araw araw lahat ng kinakain or almost every meal they weight and count their macros as strict as day 1, good job. Ako as my job description at set up, sa una ko lang nagawa, namemorize ko kahit papaano and kugn ano yung tansya ko sa paningin ko eh di dun ako dahil na adhere ko at nagiging consistent ako.
Newbie gains or not, i still continue whatever i am doing. IIFYM or not , who cares kung ano maisip ng iba, para sakni pag hindi ko magawa yung clean, mauuwi ako sa kung ano man meron sa mesa na nakahanda at yung nutri data nun kung galing sa google o myfitnesspal okay na ko.
