It has more something to do with the Squat rather than the Deadlift. To solve the problem for some and to maintain that COM (center of mass; i.e. dapat nasa gitna yung movement nung bar pagtitignan mo sa gilid), some used heeled shoes or put some small plates on their when they perform the squat.

Actually, hindi siya sa genetics eh, wala akong alam na kaso ng any bone deformation that would prevent flexion movement of the ankles. Isa pa lahat ng taong kayang tumakbo, at higit sa lahat kayang lumakad. May malaking part din ang ankles during those locomotor movements, everytime na pumapadyak yung paa mo sa lupa nagkakaroon ng dorsiflexion at plantarflexion. Ang isang limiting factor yung shoes, kapag high-cut.

methinks chucks allstar is quite enough, it has a hard sole to keep your footing /balance.

Sabi daw push from your heels during squats, pero nahihirapan ako. I guess it has something to do with the contour of my shoes. Parang ganito:

Makahanap nga sa UK ng chucks.
