Race to 500lbs Deadlift!

For additional motivation to reach our goals and some healthy competition amongst us Bro's. Hindi po ito pataasan ng ihi.

Rules:

1. Conventional or Sumo stance is fine but not Strongman style (hitching not allowed).
2. Preferably will post a video of the lift so we can see your awesomeness.
3. No spot (not srs)

Stuck @ 450lbs.

  • oo nga master sabi nga nila if you are about to break a "precipice" like going from intermediate to advanced or advanced to elite that last few pounds are the most difficult parang ganun naman yata talaga kahit saan kahit anong bagay you'll have to "break that hard wall" in order to move on.hahaha darating ka rin dyan allen just make to "don't fall off the wagon" hehehe

    ah yung conventional pala may konting hip drive pa rin hehe.. ma try nga yung sumo.

    Yun nga at may nabasa din ako na try to lift heavier than your 1RM just to adapt to it kahit na say sa rack pulls hold mo lang yung weight so that you're body won't be shocked with those heavy weights.

    Ah pwede to ! hehhe na stack ako sa 240 LBS ( totoy pa kesa sa DL nyo T_T ) pero di ko alam na pwede pala mag hip drive sa conventional..

    Try ko na rin yung sumo hehehe mukhang masaya yun, baka sakali makabuhat ako lagpas tatlo.

    or mali lang ako ng pagkaka nood?
    Eto yung Strongman style?
    Tapos eto yung conventional / sumo?
  • yeah parang similar din ng logic ng training ni alex sa squats, "overloading" para daw pag binuhat mo na yun maxes mo sanay na CNS mo kung pano magrerespond sa "lighter" weight than the overload weight hehehe

    @jettie- I don't know about the hip drive when doing DL's since you have to pull back and not just stand up.
  • yeah so am I, though i do know if you have poor hip hinging you could injure yourself w/ DLs.

    Pano kung may belt?

    Pero 200more to go haha nasa 300 palang maximum na nabuhat ko kasi, hanggang dun lang plates ko sa bahay. Sana yung squat ko humabol din sa deadlift hehehe.

    mga 100Kg+Ob lang average ko sir:(..kalyo ko kasi ansakit na...ok lang ba mag strap???

    Although hinde naman mawawala yung sakit ng kalyo kahit na naka straps ka Buh.

    Watch the video of Mark Rippetoe regarding grip.
    Ganyan din issue ko dati sa kamay ko. Nawala na din yung kalyo ko at traces nalang.

    hindi naman ako mag strap dahil sa kalyo...nagslip na din kasi yung bar..tsaka nag iinarte lang kamay ko kapag heavy na..gusto pa ng utak ko pero naghuhumiyaw na yung palm ko dahil nga sa kalyo...

    salamat core..napanuod ko na naman mga techniques..na apply na din..kasi kamay mayaman ako..luggage lang ng pera nabubuhat dati..ahahaha...joke lang ha...makabida lang...ahahah

    master ano bang pwedeng accessory exercise or workout na pwede mag improve ng ang DL poundage?

    Madami alamin mo muna kung saan ka mahina, from the ground o lockout. Pati yung grip mo at legs mo.

    Remove the straps muna lalo na kung di pa ganun a heavy DL mo. Ano na ba 1RM mo?

    Baka mamya sa form din lang kaya akala mo mahina ka.

    During our last GWO I checked on Dimzon's form and technique. His current PR was 210lbs but he got 230lbs on that day, partida nag T-bar rows muna sya before mag DL so compromised na agad strength nya kung tutuusin.

    try ko nalang sumama sa GWO one of these days para ma critique hehe

    di ko pa na try 1RM eh.. PR ko 270 for 4 reps kaso di ko na maulit hehe

    Try mo muna ulit test 1RM mo then post a video para mas madali.

    Dati ang hina din ng grip ko sa DL, ang ginawa ko nag download ako ng madaming maria ozawa na hd sa torrent. Ngayon kaliwang kamay ko nalang mahina grip bwahahahaha. Pero seryoso usapan simula nung nag kroc rows ako wala na ako problema sa deadlift. Pag naka 110lbs 25reps ka ng kroc rows di na bibigay basta basta grip mo =)

    Nag start na din ako mag glute ham raise pampalakas ng lower back at hamstring =D. Pati good mornings hehehe

    Medyo off track ako ngayon since busy sa negosyo pero I can still pull 450lbs easily kahit kulang sa ensayo.

    I'll still hit that 500lbs no matter what.
