Soreness Relief After Working-out?

I took a pre-workout energy booster (ON Amino Energy) before and while working out which helped me lift more in good form but my legs have been very sore since yesterday and im struggling in bending down and getting in/out of the car even.

What remedies do you guys take for muscle soreness?

    it's not about what you "take" actually to minimize soreness, if you stretch "properly" (and i mean the long and painful ones) after workout that should minimize soreness the next day, second sufficient (and i mean a LOT) water intake. 3rd "sufficient food intake" while recovering. 4th, you may also opt doing "trigger point therapy" (look it up here there is an article posted about this here by sir @[BraSo]), last but not the least na nasabi na ni sir el-bad4ss, "rest" w/c i think is the most important.

    Lalo na pag squat ako I stretch before at lalo na after heavy squat.

    In building Muscles - its not on the Gym (for me and my barkadas said) i dont know if its wrong (but its check for me) its on for recovering.... (rest)

    So rest Well... Soreness is nature for us.... kahit pa pabalik-balik ka mag squat for how many years meron parin yan... at hahanap-hanapin mo na yan sa susunod.... Drink water....more water....

    Kapag walang soreness walang muscle teared meaning walang recovery or walang addition of maskels while resting. Yan ang hinahanap ko after wo ang soreness.

    pero wag naman over-trained na soreness.... yan din ang dapat maiwasan.....

    I would have to somehow disagree w/ this, DOMS is not the basis of an efficient workout and whether there was muscle tear or not. as long there is enough "tension" or load that has been placed onto your muscles above its "normal capacity" there will be muscle tears minsan di lang natin nararamdaman and since may damage si muscle mo of course magrerepair given w/ the right nutrition and rest, though most of the time we do get DOMS the next day after workout but i do have weeks that i get to lift heavier even break PRs but not much on the soreness the next day. tipong parang walang nangyari hehehe

    I agree with you bro kapag sobra kasi yung soreness parang sa mga ugat na iyon. I have experienced it also after i go beyond my capacity sa biceps yun it take me weeks to recover.

    normal lang naman yun na sumakit since we tend to overload ung mga muscles natin pro pag kakaibang sakit na nararamdaman mo abay magpatingin ka na dahil for sure injury na yun hehehe.

    Yung sakin bro pinahilot ko ugat talaga na naipit ouch! Magang maga ang biceps ko akala mo sobrang laki ng muscles.hahaha

    Sinabi mo pa bro exhausted masyado ako after ng hilot. Nung hinilot ako para akong animal kakasigaw at parang gusto kong kumawala.hahaha

    I am now dreading working out my legs again and be in pain for 3 days. I hope stretching heavily before and after does help.

    It does. Be prepared once you can handle hundreds of pounds on your back during leg day.

    pa massage mo sa magandang thera tanggal yan.. hehehe! yun lang iba naman magiging sore! :biggrin:

    try mo mag lukewarm bath. nga pala, light cardio may help as well.

    I just finished my legs workout yesterday and amazingly I'm not feeling sore today. Last week, I was crippled for 3 days doing the same workout with lower weights and fewer reps than I did yesterday.

    There were two major changes I made. I stretched like hell before and after working out and I increased the dosage of my pre-workout drink which is ON Amino Energy.

    I no longer dread legs workouts :) wohooo!
