Get in touch with them.. para pag nakuha mo pp mo.. you can re-apply..
minsan stepping stone lang yung pag pt sa commercial gyms dito (like in the mid-east).. pag naka establish ka na nang client base.. pwede ka na mag freelance.
Personal Rule ko whenever I am applying for a new job. After I receive the generic "We'll call you" I instantly move on to the next masakit din kasi umasa. Talagang hits and misses din sithlord
well, mostly tungkol sa background mo as an instructor or sa fitness. your past jobs and why are applying as an instructor sa kanila. basic whats your strength and weaknesses.
practical test: youll instruct a newbie on how to properly do the big 3 lifts, bench dl and squat.
nakaka loko lang is walang squat rack sa gym nila sa centris q. ave. im wondering how the hell do they teach squatting without a squat rack. sabagay mukhang puro pussy naman lahat ng tao dun to even think na they actually lift lol.
Its ok sir milks. Dami pa darating na opportunities for you. At least you took the first step na and it was in a giant commercial club.
There are some applicants that falter the interview proper but does great sa actual simulation (vice-versa)
OT: @allen - When i conduct an interview sa FT applicant, i base it on whats written sa cv and dont give any BS unless mayabang at parang nagmamarunong yung applicant (pinoy and foreign).. but i do ask some basic question about nutrition, exercise, program making, first aid and general wellness.
Written exam are done pag naka pasa siya sa sit-down at actual.
Sa actual, my points are based on:
- how the applicant greets the member
- sa pagsasalita at confidence in teaching the exercise and giving a bit of information on what the exercise is for, what it targets
- pano i deliver yung tamang form (foot placement, body alignment, shoulder leveling, etc. etc.), breathing
- saan naka pwesto yung applicant whilst teaching
- pano mag converse or correct or praise or motivate yung applicant ng member
@sir milks.. kung gusto mo nang sample pano ako mag turo nang client or what i look for in actual simulation, sabihin mo lang.. i one on one kita sa 6 exercises that we usually ask an applicant to teach a member. pang dagadg confidence mo din if ever.
centris ang 1st gg branch na pinuntahan ko. squat rack ang una kong hinanap, wala. dapat may pbb masters sa gg. napapailing ako sa mga exercises na pinagagawa ng ilang gg pt eh.
kung wala kang bg as an instructor yung bg mo sa bodybuilding or fitness.
i used a fixed barbell yung ginagamit sa curls lol. yung PT na kunwari tinuturuan ko eh hindi pa yata alam kung ano ang ass to grass na squats. ang alam lang eh half squats lol. sabagay wala naman silang tuturuan ng proper squatting kundi mga chix at mga cunts na parang chix mag buhat.
ang medyo naniinis lang ako eh yung parang minamaliit ako ng nag interview sakin dahil wala nga akong educational background. parang hindi ako credible sa tingin nyang maging pt. haaayyssss.... lahat naman ng mga pt nila pwede mong sabihan ng "do you even lift?".

ako nga sana kaso they i think they are basing their qualifications based sa scholastic or educational background.

sure koya sino ba namang hindi. maybe one of these days na magka sabay tayong mag buhat. kabado pa din naman talaga ako lalo na pag may naka tingin na nagmamatyag sa mga kilos ko.
I feel you bro... ganyan talga karamihan nang mga nag co-conduct nang interview pinas or abroad man.. most of them, intimidated sa mga malalaking applicant, unless yung gym na ina-applyan mo caters more into bodybuilding / PL.
Just consider this as a learning tool to enhance more of what was experience dun sa application mo.
Dami pa akong tips na pwede bigay sayo on choosing the terms on how to instruct and some parameters in teaching a member
