Thanks. Problem ko ngayon is my DL, I'm trying to look for information that will increase my pull. Any help is much appreciated.

Do you DL conventional or sumo?
  • luchi_bieluchi_bie Posts: 238
    Conventional. I'm stuck at 280-285.

Can you post a video of your lift? Apart from the technique, your breathing could be a factor.

Maybe, I will give it a try.

In case you have yet to incorporate explosive lifts on your deload, that would help a lot, at least for me. Hehe

    Goodluck sir!

I decided to continue SL5x5, will start on Monday on the following weights:

    SQ - 125lbs
    DL - 120lbs
    BP - 80lbs
    Row - 80lbs
    OHP - 55lbs

(this is based after filling up the spreadsheet provided in the website)

Loading will range from 5-10lbs every workout, but will not tempted to get too fast. I incorporated some mobility and core routines before and after workouts. Depending on my availibility, I will try to create my own video channel to tape my workouts and track my progress.

    Keep lifting guys!

+1 for the workout vids! Hehe When I was in 5/3/1, increment loading was 5lbs upper and 10lbs lower.

    Hi luchi_bie,
I also did SL5x5 and finished the 12 weeks, though my final lifting stats are inferior to yours. The sticking points for me are always the bench press and overhead press. I'm doing higher volume split routines for now because of joint pains. I might continue with the 5x5.
Did you do SL5x5 before? Are you carrying-over your strength gains this second (or is it the third time) around? Are you purely doing strength training?
(Pasensya na sa daming katanungan. Baka mas marami pa sa next post hehe.)

Hi Olib, it's been a while since mag-online ako. pero tuloy tuloy pa rin ung program ko.

Yes I still do SL 5x5, I am on 7th week already. I don't feel any joints pain ever since I do the program maybe its something on your form or something I cannot say anything more.

I am currently on the stats where I ended on my 1st 12 weeks. Still challenging for me though but I believe my form is better compare last time and I didnt stall until now compare on my first 12 week.

Next week will be super challenging as I will be surpassing my stats from April. My working weights are as follows:

    Squat: 220lbs
    OHP: 90lbs
    DL: 225lbs
    BP: 130lbs
    Row: 130lbs

Still doing 3-5 minutes rest for each set. Nutrition is a bit low as I am not doing Caloric surplus, no budget hehehe. Saka hirap kumain dahil sa brace ko.

yes, I am only doing strength training, I do hit bags once in a while but maybe every other week or so. I do not do any cardio at all.
