High Reps vs Low Reps (Sino ba talaga ang Ego lifter?)

Naisip ko lang,kapag ba kayang kaya ng isang tao ang 300lbs naisip ko lang.. bench for 12 reps at PR nya is 350lbs,Ego lifter ba sya sa 300lbs?

or Mas ego lifting yung 100lbs bench press for 30 reps to failure?

Dami ko kasi nakikitang mga post sa fb page or group na ego lifting daw kapag heavy kahit yakang yaka naman nung mga nasa video, pero yung mga high reps to failure kahit di na kaya at half rep or force rep na sige pa rin. alin ba talaga ang Ego lifting sa dalawa? lol

  • Walang ego lifting sa mga binanggit mo. For you to say that somebody's doing ego lifting, you need to consider two things: (1) objective = trying to impress somebody by (2) lifting too much weight without proper form.

    Kung wala yung number 1, hindi mo masasabing ego lifting yun. Baka bad form lang talaga.

    Kung high reps to failure na sinasabi mo at pinupush pa kahit half rep pa, may gumagawa talaga nun, "up to failure" nga di ba? You have to consider, kunyari nagbebench press ka, parehong may impact ang eccentric (negative) and concentric (positive). Mas pang hypertrophy nga ang eccentric dahil dun talaga nagstretch ang muscles at nagcause ng micro-tears na later on pagnagheal kumakapal yung muscle. So, kahit kalahati lang ianggat nung barbell, kung sinasalo naman niya ng tama pababa at nastretch yung chest muscle niya, okay pa din yun.
