Low fat vs low carb

Personally, I think (but not sure on this) mas ok ung low carb kasi pag low fat daw nakaka baba rin ng testosterone. Kaso kea d ako 100% sure na mas ok ung low carb, kasi pag low carb naman, nakaka bawas ng energy so hihina mga lift.

Curious lang ako mga sir kung ano mas effective sainyo na diet while cutting  When on a caloric deficit, do you guys reduce the fat or the carbs?

Depends on how much BF you have. 13-15% range bf level i still make room for carbs and fat. I just make sure my protein is atleast 1g per/lb atleast. I prefer being practical and train all out. When i get 12% or lower pretty much maganda na itsura sa salamin so who cares if your strength goes down. Test levels also are impossible to measure lalo na sa mga karaniwang tao, if you feel your test level is dropping just watch more porn. I feel a lot of people today over emphasize protein intake, even on a long calorie deficit muscle mass doesn't disapear that easy kahit .8g-1g lang ang protein. Unless you have so little muscle that when the fat is gone, you look skinny and think you lost a lot of muscle.

So my strategy is cut protein if necessary to make room for carbs and fat.

Hahaha! D ako kukulangin dito lol

Ako kasi when going down to that low BF %, I increase the fat ng onti, drop carbs then increase the protein. I really go low carb, sometimes almost zero (on rest days when I just do cardio) tapos I incorporate refeeds maybe 2x a week.

I'm pretty much around 15-17% BF most of the time, then drop to 8-10% on 'special occasions' (pag mag beach lol)
What if you're going for around 8% BF? Ano approach mo bro with regards to your diet? Do you increase your protein and drop the fat/carb?

The last time na nagcut ako my protein intake was very high around 2g/lb of BW (300-340g) then my carbs are 70-100g only while fat is 30-50g daily towards the end of that cut. Basically hindi yun pre planned, I just came to a point that, that was the best option for me to get leaner during that time. But If can get lean with less protein and more carbs/fat I would prefer that. Depende din siguro sa standards na gusto mo ma-achieve, hindi lang kasi abs gusto ko makuha pag nagpatuyo ako, common na yun e. Gusto ko striated and veiny yung ibang bodyparts para angat sa iba.

Right now pag nag mini cut ako I just cut everything, P/C/F. Kasi kung magshuffle ka lang ng macros like up the protein, drop carbs/fat you end up with the same amount of total calories daily. Unlike if I simply cut everything no need to overthink and calculate.
  • I've only ever done the low carb high protein, cguro masyado lang ako takot sa catabolism. Laging shit feeling rin kasi pag depleted ung carbs (Iritable, antok lagi, at nang hihina), but I can't deny the results. Though I may get even better results If I try a different approach. I'm also doing a mini cut now, dami kasi nag sasabi tumaba ako lol. I'll also try dropping the 3 equally. Thanks for the tip pre!

Not necessarily cutting all 3 macros at the same time. One at a time lang (unless your coming from a huge surplus). Carbs first then fat. Basta wag mo nalang itaas yung protein from your current intake para hindi magbreak even sa binawas mo.
  • Ayt, Noted! Thanks again pre!
