Clean Bulking or Monster Bulking?

Hi PBB brothers! Just want to start a discussion here.

What is your take between Clean Bulking or Monster Bulking? and your definition, as the internet defines them with too many versions.

Being endo-man, my take is Clean Bulking, and my personal definition of it is to have a gradual increase of surplus until I find my sweet spot of gaining weight around 1-2 lbs per week (still in my newbie gains). By gradual increase, I mean 200 calorie surplus increments.

    From what I researched, Macros for bulking should at least look like this;

    Protein -1 gram per lb of body weight
    Carbohydrates - 2 grams per lb of body weight
    Fats - 1 gram per 3 lbs of body weight

    But some still prefer to lean more on protein than carbohydrates, and fats during rest days...

    may concern ba diyan yung mga mabilis ang metabolism? i'm actually not consistent in eating , and i can't get that macros calories computation, :-) i just eat and eat , more rice now , no junk foods, and i think i eat more carbs than protein,

    Try, brother, to study about macros, it will help you a lot. Metabolism is a factor but if you are anabolic then you will still have gains. If I were in your position I will start on having a 15% surplus on your daily calorie expenditure. Then if hindi pa din naggain after a couple of weeks do another 200-400 calorie increments hanggang maggain ka na. Again, that is in my stand point, because I want to try to gain leaner mass.

    Consider also the other variables like training and rest. Many people fall victim to calorie surplus/deficit and diet in general pero ang totoong nagdidictate ng gains ay training and mga activities natin. You can eat the same amount of food gram per gram everyday pero yung activities mo daily never magiging parehas yan. So kung diet dependent ka lang sa bulking you might gain more fat in the process. Mass gains are triggered by stimulus. You can compute all you want pero without the stimulus you're wasting your efforts. tsaka when you say lean mass gains, It's not really that lean at all. Your lucky to get 50/50 muscle-fat gain ratio. Experts say, take it "SLOW" bulk slowly, for naturals that simply means, it will take years.

    ako kasi kaen lang ng kaen more on carbs , and trying to eat more protein din still no macro computation , :wink: siguro kapag naabot ko na yung goal weight ko , ang goal ko pa lang ngayon ay mag gain ng mass , kahit 40/60 muscle/fats or 50/50 ,  :smile:

    ngayong week palang ako nag umpisa bro , 1st week ko palang bali, and hindi ko pala natimbang sarili ko :sad: san ba nakakbili ng timbangan, yung square?

    When I felt I needed to change my body from a very thin physique (also an ectomorph), ang ginawa ko noon, I ate full meals every two to three hours every day. Drank mass gainers and religiously took 1L of milk per day whilst working out just three times a week. I saw results in just three months. Pero more on fats din ako nun kasi grabe rice intake ko non. Pinipilit ko na lang kumain minsan kahit nasusuka na ako. Haha. That was 2012.

    Well, most bodybuilders nowadays say that if they could have changed one thing when they started, they would say that they should have paid more attention to nutrition. True enough, huwag madaliin results like I did. Pay more attention to your macronutrients. Dito ko lang rin natutunan sa PBB how to compute. Lurk lurk lang. Lol. Good luck bros.

    From my personal experience, hindi talaga maganda at practical kumain ng excessive amounts of food on a regular basis regardless if it's more protein... unless, may pagagamitan ka. So kung gano ka kalakas kumain dapat at par yung training mo dun. Madali lang kasi kumain ng madami at kumain ng konti, ang mahirap ay yung pag assess mo sa training mo kung enough ba, sobra or kulang to match your calorie intake. Kaya madami tumataba or hindi lumalaki na noob bulkers kasi sa training sila sablay.

    Yup, that was my mistake when I started. Sometimes, you make hasty stupid decisions kapag nagmamadali sa results.
  • Same to me,grabe ako kumain ng protein rich foods dati then 2 to 3 times pa umiinom ng whey isolates kaya nawindang ako sa result,nag gain ako ng muscles at the same time ay fat din.
    Ngayon nasa 1 month na ko ng IF at nakikita ko na may pagbabago,Napapansin na din ng mga coleagues ko ang pagliit ng tyan ko.
  • Pasingit ako mga brothers, sa tingin ko din kasi kahit kumain ka ng madami clean bulk at ayos naman training mo lalo na sa mga ecto. eh kung kulang naman sa rest of sleep ay mahihirapan ka talaga magpabulk. napupunit ung muscle tissue naten sa gym so after gym kumain para sa repair hindi sa loob ng gym nagaadd tayo ng mass kundi kapag kumakain kana at kapag tulog tayo. so sa tingin ko mga bro combo yan. clean bulk + traning intense + sleep like a baby = sure gains yan. at syempre ung add fats while bulking natural un kaya nga meron tayong cutting para mawala un. ngayun kung hindi kaya mag clean bulk katulad ko shit gains ang lalabas may mass nga un nga lang hindi pulido katulad ng clean bulk.

    Yun kayang mga bodybuilder nung 1900's tulad ni Eugene Sandow, iniisip pa kaya ang clean bulking vs dirty bulking ? 1g of protein per pound of body weight VS 1.5g of protein per pound of body weight ? cutting phase and bulking phase ?

    Wala pang steroids ng era na yun at di pa uso ang supplements pero ang lalakas nila
