5X5 Madcows training

musta mga tol! tanong lang ako if gaano kaeffective ang 5x5 training? :) im planning to start it tomorrow. been doing split training (e.g. chest/triceps, biceps/back, legs/shoulders) religiously for like a year now kaya naisip ko baka nasanay na katawan ko sa ganung klaseng training...

    i tried lifting like this for 3 months but only with the compound lifts such benches, squats and so on.
    its good if youre trying to up your strength and will add decent amount of mass if done properly. theres nothing wrong trying new things so go ahead! have a great time getting strong!

    alright thanks bro! yeah the program only consist of bench press, squats, row and deadlifts. looks to me that it will save me alot of time working out in the gym.

    btw, the last time you used this kind of training what do u usually do during your rest days? do you devote it mainly to cardio and abs? or just lifting lightweights? i usually workout 6days every week except saturday coz my class schedule wont allow it. and based from the 5x5 program i have to workout only 3times a week rest in between...so right now im wondering what to do during the rest days. :D

    i lift 5x a day even until now. nasanay na ako sa madcow style of training kahit hindi ko ginagawang 5x ang reps i do it as heavy as i can. rest day is wed and sunday only and i do nothing but to sit in front of my pc or go eat somewhere else lol! im not fond of doing cardio exercises until now that im trying to be leaner. i only do radio after every workout 15 mins max and thats it. abs? what abs? lol!

    zane and zack - hindi ko alam gamitin tong template na to..tsaka parang me iba sya sa computation kesa dun sa template na bigay mo zane...

    ang ginagawa ko kasi hindi progression yung weight per exercise eh..

    ah, kung mali yung bigay ko sayo, yung kay zack ang sundin mo, para ngang nagtataka ako nung binigay ko sayo yan, pero binigay ko parin kasi magkamuka ng itsura hehehehe. nakaprint kasi yan at nakapost sa cork board ko kaya siguro akala ko yan un. Yung kay zack yung sigurado naming ginagamit, nakabookmark yung site sa kanya e hahaha

    friday
    squat 5x5 /5x6, 3x6, 8x6
    bench 5x5 /5x6, 3x6, 8x6
    row 5x5 /5x6, 3x6, 8x6
