Your Biggest Mistakes in Bodybuilding

Share niyo biggest mistakes niyo nuong nagsisimula pa lang kayo, o kahit nung matagal na kayo pero ginagawa niyo pa din.

Naipost ko na to sa journal ko dati, ito sakin.

1. Low calorie diet- Masyado akong nagfocus sa beer belly ko kahit na payat ako. To think na ang gusto ko, lumaki katawan ko tapos mawala yung beer belly ko. Pero yung diet ko low calorie. Ayun naging tingting na may bilbil. Butete? Nagcut ako ng wala pa namang icucut.
Sabi nga ng isa sa mga master natin dito, "It's like trying to stand and sit at the same time" at "You cannot serve two masters at a time".
Haha.

2. No Deadlift, No Squat and Rows.
wtf? Hindi ko pa alam yun nuon e sorry na. Haha.
So ngayon focus ako sa compound lifts to build size and strength.

3. Gayly weights.
- Slow or almost no progression at all for months! Nakakahiya!
Now I'm trying to lift heavy as I possibly could.

4. Lazy Leg- As stated above, walang squat. At nakakatamadan ko din yung leg workouts madalas pinapalampas ko kahit na alam kong maliit ang calves ko.

5. Boy Sit up-Did nothing for me. Natatakpan ng taba e.
At least ngayon alam ko na para lumabas ang 6 pack abs e kailangan ibaba ang BF% to at least 10%

6. Tipid tipid din.
- Hindi na nga maayos ang diet tapos 1 scoop a day lang kung magwhey.
Kulang ang macro/micronutrients.

    biggest mistake ko:
    1. same as 1 and 6 ni sir allen
    2. lifting too heavy without proper warmup and using too much momentum.
    3. emphasizing on too heavy weights while sacrificing the form
    4. eating everything on sight! aka dirty bulking

  • halos lahat ng sinabi nio ganun din ako. at 1 year mahigit na ako pero wala akong squats. shit! ung DL and leg WO 2 months ko plang sinimulan.. :unhappy: :unhappy: daming kulang sa program ko.. ung beer belly ko din nakakainis. di ko alam kung mgpapabulk ba ko or magbabawas ng kain. :angry: siguro papalaki na lang muna ako tpos cut.:sleepy:
  • Same here, when I started bodybuilding I skipped squat and DL nakakatamad kase. My program usually Chest/Tricep, Back/Bicep then it should be Shoulder/Legs but since tinatamad ako at mas gustong kung tirahin ung arms pinapalitan ko ung Legs ng Arms.

    Sa ngayon Squat and DL na most favorite exercise ko, hindeng hinde na ito mawawala sa program ko.

  • mine is nutrition, workout intensity,form (i used to do a lot of cheat movements :P) and worng impression of the purpose of using a belt.

    Controlling my diet......especially in my country where is plenty of good food....or rather junk food.....lol

    Ako din.. hindi ko naman talaga alam pa yung squats at DL kaya dko nagagawa. Haha. Yung program mo dati parang ganyan ako, pero imbes na ginagawa mong Shoulder / Arms, ako naman shoulder na lang wala ng legs ahaha

    same with sir allen from 1 to 6...
    1. frustrated gusto ko ng malaking muscle pero dont have proper nutrition..
    2. buying supplements na di ko naman alam kung ano ginagawa
    3. want to lift heavy but not sure if im doing it right (proper form)
    4. bulk mode kuno kaso di kumakain ng maayos natatakot mag ka tyan..
    5. nalilito pa rin kung ano talaga ang goal ko.. or wala talaga akong goal or maybe just to stay fit na lang kaya.. or... atleast mukhang ngayon sana me patutunguhan ung pinag gagawa ko.. hehehehehehe..

    wala.. pero may way para minimal ang gain ng fats, pero madameng calories padin,

    1. Hindi consistent. Sabay tayo pumasok ng Gym sa Anonas dati, pero after nun, wala na. Nauso na yung pasundot-sundot.
    2. Diet. Halos lahat naman ng kalalakihan nangarap ng ABS ... ayon tinipid ang sarili sa pagkain hanggang pumayat, nawala ang tiyan pero walang lumabas na six pack abs. (napakalaking mali).
    3. Home workouts using dumb bells, actually, iisipin ng iba, hindi naman to totally mali. Pero ang nangyare kasi sakin eh nakuntento na ako dun sa 20lbs na dumb bell for almost 6 months. Then after nun, may maliit na maliit na changes sa braso...and thats it. yun lang yon.
    4. After ng 6months na buhay DB, nag decide na pumasok ng gym (seriously) haha ...pang 3rd week ko now. Pero ang mali is, dapat nag squat na ako at DL nung 1st week pa lang.

    salamat ke pafs allen sa pag introduce sakin ng PBB!

    nung baguhan ako:

    - trying to compete sa ibang lifters na magbuhat nang mas mabigat sa kanila
    - trying to do too much on a training day
    - gusto kong magandang katawan pero hindi naman consistent sa buhat at pagkain
    - sticking to my favorite exercises, kahit na wala akong nakikitang pagbabago
    - mixing bodybuilding with a lifestyle full of vices
    - kung anung makita kong ginagawa nung isang malaking nagbubuhat, gagawin ko din kahit hindi ko alam tamang form or saan ba talaga dapat maramdaman yung tama sa muscle nung exercise
    - kung anung madinig kong tips or myths, yung na paniniwalaan ko kaagad agad
    - na ang pagbubuhat palagi nang mabigat ang sagot sa pagpapalaki nang muscles

    walang leg day,mga 4 months,hahah

    dapat pala nung marunong na ko lumakad at tumayo, nag buhat na pala ako, pag nagkaanak ako pag apak ng 10y/o pag gygym ko agad para pag dating ng teens nya, wala syang body image problem katulad ko :)
    fatso ako nong high school moonface big belly lahat na ata! haha
  • buti na lang napadpad ako sa site nato bago ko magstart magbuhat, nyahahaha...

    ang biggest mistake ko siguro eh, kapag hindi ako nasa fasting period, ang unang pumapasok sa utak ko eh EAT ANYTHING ON SIGHT.
