  • agree. biceps have 2 heads... long and short heads. close grip is for the long head and wide or medium grip is for the short head. tama po sir braso? ty. :sport:
  • havent tried using a flat bar for barbell curl. ez bar din ang gamit ko kasi. but i saw a lot of pros using flat bar and parehas din sila ni sir braso ng explanation. siguro pag beginner ka ez bar ka na muna then saka mo itry ung isa..
  • Straight bar una kong gamit tapos tinamaan ng tendonitis. Switched to EZ bar ganun parin. But then i used DBs hindi na naging hadlang ang tendonitis. Pero if i didnt have this dang tendonitis id use both.
  • parang mas mabilis kase lumakas sa EZ. kesa sa flat..

    pero mas recommended sken ang flat bar..

    i use both kung ano available pero mas madalas straight bar shoulder-width grip then followed by preacher curls dumbell.
  • lol parang walang silbi lang pala 2ng ez bar ko dito kasi yung grip ko is pang wide at flat bar hehehe kasi kapag ginagawa ko is close or narrow grip parang mabigat at nahuhulog sa kabila,pero kapag wide sulit at pasok lahat ng curl. natatandaan ko nung una,gumamit ako ng ez bar sa gym tapos sabi nung mamang mamaw,"wag yan,pang cutting yan" binitawan ko,natakot ako kasi baka ma putol braso ko,cutting daw eh hahaha

    since last week, di na ako nagbabarbell/dumbbell curl. lagi na lang ako sa preacher curl machine although ayon kay exrx, brachialis ang target nito at synergist ang biceps... one hand preacher curl exercise, yung kabilang kamay ang spotter. two sets of wide position and two sets of narrow position (iniiba ko lang yung position ng biceps sa holding hand grip para makapag wide at narrow position).

    should I return back to free weights curl? meron ba ditong gumagamit ng preacher curl machine exercise only for bicep development?

    since last week, di na ako nagbabarbell/dumbbell curl. lagi na lang ako sa preacher curl machine although ayon kay exrx, brachialis ang target nito at synergist ang biceps... one hand preacher curl exercise, yung kabilang kamay ang spotter. two sets of wide position and two sets of narrow position (iniiba ko lang yung position ng biceps sa holding hand grip para makapag wide at narrow position).

    napansin ko lang personally mas kaya ko mas heavier weights sa preacher machine compared sa one arm preacher curl...

    dpende nga sa grip yan... pero para matarget yun brachialis, reverse grip and hammer curl. kasi ang alam ko, di sya part ng biceps. sya yun muscle under the biceps. like i said, bi's have 2 heads. long head and short head. :sport:

    ^Wala namang "isolation" since imposibleng ma isolate mo ang isang muscle group lang during training.
