Compromise for wakened days?

I just had a very bad day today and my workout was badly affected. I had to lift lighter weights but maintained the number of reps and sets.

What's your compromise on your bad days? Should we just skip the bad day and do it the next?

    just skip. if i cant give 100% i rather stay home.

    Missing a training day is not the end of the world.

    no i just listen to my body. kung pakiramdam kong napuyat at pagod ako nde ako nag tetrain, mas gugustuhin ko pang ipahinga nalang ung araw na un kesa mawalan ako ng silbi sa gym lol

    ^Yes boss tama sila i also do the same esp. pag sobrang sleepy at pagod kona, kaysa ma badtrip kapa sa lifts mo matulog/rest ka nalang.

    For me it takes time bago mo matutunan yang "listen to your body" na yan. Actually it's your CNS that you have to watch out for. Madalas nalalaman ko kung "fried" na ba talaga yung CNS ko or physical na pagod lang kapag nasa gym na ako in the middle of my training.

    There were instances na I really stopped in the middle of my training since I knew that I'm not getting anywhere since my CNS is burned. Pag di mo kasi na detect to almost guaranteed na overtraining ang kasunod.

    For me the signs are:

    - No pump
    - Significant decrease in strength
    - Poor conditioning (hinihingal agad)

    Yung sinasabi mo eh mukhang tremendous build up lang ng lactic acid yun which can be alleviated by static stretching. Try mo dynamic warm ups instead of static stretching before training.

    Yup. Higit sa lahat be mindful of others na makakasabay mo sa gym na maaring mahawa sayo.

    pinapalipas ko muna ang day.... kay sa wala sa isip magbuhat,... baka ma injury pa....

    Minsan kasi nasa isip lang din natin. Or minsan dahilan lang kasi tinatamad at ayaw paguilty sa sarili. Ang ginagawa ko naman pag ganto, inom lang ng kape bago mag work out para mejo mawala pagkatamad tapos pag nasa gym na at kalagitnaan na ng training.. dun ko malalaman kung ihihinto ko ba or tatapusin ko na.
  • pag puyat di ako tumutuloy sa umaga, dinederetcho ko na lang tulog ko then papasok sa office... pag sapit ng tanghali, tatakas ako sa office at saka ako magbubuhat hehehehe... :D ;D
