Whey Protein intake

mga sir ask ko lng kung paano ung timing ng paginom ng whey protein?and same po ba ung sched ng paginom kahit rest day?thank you po..

    the proper intake of whey to maximize the effect are:
    1. morning (morning muscle) after wakeup.
    2. 15 mins before workout
    3.intra-workout
    4.post-workout
    5. between meals
    6. before sleeping (w/casein)

    -yan ang tamang intake ng whey...:wink:

    I would have to disagree with you bro. Taking whey before and during workout would zap your energy since your body would have to shift it to digest protein. Since protein is the most difficult macro to digest it would be counter productive instead.

    Taking it after workout and as a meal replacement every now and then would be enough.

    Also, where did you get the term "morning muscle"? So there's afternoon and evening as well?

    moring muscle po ay nbasa ko sa isang research... ung twag nila... at lahat po ng cnabi ay base sa reseach and gngawa ko... minsan ksi iba iba tlga ang alam natin e... at ganon din sa reseach. :wink:

    Ang constant lang sakin sa pag take ng whey eh after ng pagbubuhat. Yung 2nd serving at rest day, kahit anong oras sa maghapon.


    Di lahat ng nakikita sa internet tama.

    Yung iba kasi eh ang pakay ay magbenta ng mga product o program nila. Gaya ng mga magazine, malamang hundred of thousands ang bumibili ng Men's health o iba pang same magazine pero kahit tumambay ka sa mall ng isang araw, wala ka gaanong makikita na maganda ang katawan.

    Pero pag mga chicks madami, haha. Karamihan petite na naka short shorts, yun nga lang at baka jail bait hahaha.

    Care to post the links here so I can read those research?

    Frequent consumption of any supplements is a form of marketing strategy so these supp companies could sell more.

    I read a lot as well and from reputable sources from the industry. So far I haven't heard any of those you've mentioned. Just like what stannis said, not everythin on the internet is true. Also, I would only respect information that is valid and true.

    paano po like ang sched ko is mwf(workout) then t th sat and sun(rest)?

    restday pwedeng morning and before bedtime... pero depende sa goal mo yan.

    Rest day:

    2. before matulog

    kakain nlng ako ng tama para mameet ung protein na need ko..thanks!
    ung 5x5 po na program ung sinusunod ko..inadd ko lng :lol:

    Mass gainer - self explanatory

    You should know your macros first and the foods that you will be eating saka papasok si whey and mass gainer sa equation HTH

    correct natin ng onti yung info na naibigay sayu sir ha, parehong may protein yun 2 supps na nabanggit mo sir. infact anfg protein sources nun ay wala halos pinagkaiba, ang pinagkaiba lang talaga nila is this. si mass gainer marami pang ibang "additives" para tumaas ang calories nya per serving. when one is "bulking up" kasi kelangan nasa calorie surplus yun amount ng food intake mo (be it in solid or liquid form) to get "big". ung sa about sa getting "lean mass" from whey wala po sa whey yun depende actually yun sa coverage ng macro requirements mo. kahit anong pa ang protein source mo be it whole food or the supplemented kind, as long you provide "enough" protein sa katawan mo kasama ng ibang macronutrients na kailangan mo. you will be able to grow or keep "lean muscle" sa katawan mo. magkakatalo lang yan sa dami ng calories na kinakain mo day-in day-out.     3 ounces (around 80 grams) of chicken breast ranges around 23-27g of protein
    2 whole eggs = 12-14g protein
    PM7 = 23g of protein

    Hmmmm... i've read the article. not to entirely disagree w/ you, supplement timing surely has its place pagdating sa nutrition like including them w/ your pre and post workout meals. but I somehow find the need to drink whey protein in the morning upon waking to stop our body from being catabolic "myth" why? because i have been on IF (intermittent fasting) for more than 3 months now and normally my last meal is around 10pm and i don't eat anything nor take any supplements (just water and a bit of coffee w/o sugar every now and then) until 2pm the next day and by far haven't had any problems maintaining my gains in fact i'm growing more lean mass now while on IF. I know people and members here alike who take whey protein in the morning while fasting but its defnitely not for the purpose of stopping their muscles from being in a catabolic state.

    wow daming protein! ilang % ng macro nyo yan sir?

    may little dilemma kasi ako ngayon, sa web kasi parang halo halo ang mga information about protein intake. may nagsasabi na 1 to 1.1 grams of protein per bodyweight, at meron din 30-40% ng total macro ang protein intake.

    sa computation kasi ng caloric intake ko, pag sinunod ko yung 1.1grams of protein per bodyweight, lumalabas na nasa around 25-26% lang ng total macro ko ang protein. kaya medyo nagdadalawang isip ako ngayon kung magtweak ba ako ng macro na papasukin sa 30-35% ang total protein ko per day.
