im just stating my opinion about facts in BB and PT.. when your lifting heavy you will always sacrifice your form no matter what.. common sense na lang tsong kahit hindi pa natin tanong si google kahit based lang natin sa ating mga experiences na mahirap sabihin na kung ang form mo ay BB or PT. kaya i recommend sa mga noob na mas safe kung chest out and medyo naka angat ang back natin.. and sir hindi ako nakikipag argue din sayo.. and all of my advice here are all my personal experiences

    Fair enough. ;)

To be clear, di naman ako disagree sa mga ina-advice mo/nyo. 100% sang-ayon ako jan. Yung post ko, pertaining lang sa "execution" or "form" between styles of BB & PL. May mga differences din talaga. This is the same sentiment shared by many lifters, be it pros or just regular joes, especially yung mga gumagamit ng both styles sa training nila, including myself. They perfectly complement each other ika nga. To choose either & disregard the other would be a big loss in terms of progress.

Anyways, OT na to. OnT, preferable talaga matuto pag beginner ng textbook from sa bench. & yes, building strength would be a solid foundation. Kung ano man maging goal nya, whether to get stronger or build muscle, pwede naman nyang i-adjust yun as he goes.

bottomline, any style can be done, but PL style concentrates on building strength not actually muscles, pansin nyo most PLs are chubby/fat guys and BB style targets pecs muscle fibers more than PL style.

and lastly, PL only do 1 or 2 reps, while BB do more than PL does.

How bout Stan Efferding? Or yung mga strongman competitors like Marius Pudzianowski and Derek Poundstone?

But then again look at Stan Efferding and Jeff Moore, sabihin mo nga sakin kung "chubby" sila???

Don't comment on PL programs if you don't know sh!t bout it! Yung sinasabi mo na 1-2 reps eh baka you're pertaining to Max Effort training days? Alam mo ba yun?

I've experienced undergoing PL type of training and on regular days we do at least 6 reps/set. On conditioning days 15 reps/set or up to 100 reps total on a given compound lift.

  • ga'buhok lang na space between chest and bar hehehe

gusto ko din gawin yan kaso ngayon, bakit parang nagla-lock na yun shoulders ko around 2-3 inches above my breast. wide or narrow grip, ayaw na talaga. may substitute ba? warm ups? aside from flexibility issue, hindi na din ako nag improve :huh:eto pa, makakatulong ba kung ite-train ko triceps ko? just to help me lift the weights. i seldom do arm workouts kasi.

    dodo kaya
  • thanks for this video on proper form,

2 months ago i couldn't lift more than 90lbs because my triceps were in so much pain whenever i increase the weight, people here recommended widening my grip and that helped a lot (thanks!). i'm moving up to 150lbs tomorrow at 15x4 following the micro-cycle of jim stoppani which i will be doing all over again.

  • then you won't be working your chest that much then? you'll be working your triceps/delts more w/ that the stretch is actually at the negative portion of the movement. if you are having a hard adding poundage in pressing exercises then it is time that you incorporate "complimentary" exercises na may carryover sa BP. there are actually a lot muscle groups that you are supposed to use/recruit/fire-up during a pressing movement not only your chest and arms. just saying. :)
  • nothing wrong w/ making the bar touch, bouncing though definitely a different story.
