Hello mga masters:) Ask ko lang if what are your thoughts on reverse grip bench press? I've read a couple of articles saying that this exercise hits the upper pecs more than the traditional incline BB press. Any thoughts guys?

gud day mga master, is it ok to hit chest twice a week? this is what i usualy do : tuesday chest day : (4 set of 6-8 reps) incline db press, incline flys, bench press, dips 3 x f... and on saturday : (3 set of 10-8 reps) flat db press, decline bench press, then trecips: close grip bench press skullcrusher, and one arm tricp ext. ...ok lang ba ganitong set up?....thnx
even those posted sa internet are conflicting...some recommends once a week, others say ok lang twice a week...
i guess the best way is for you to try it yourself, identify which ones works best for you....
in my case, i do it twice a week...but part of the reason is that there are times, i go out on official business trips that i get to miss my WO...at least if i miss the first sched...i can catch up on my second sched for the week...
let's wait for the suggestions from the masters...

One has to find what works best for them. Now having said that, back in Arnolds day, 2-3x per week was the norm. Then as the 80's and Haney came around, 2x per week was the norm. When Yates hit the scene, 1x per week became the norm for many. One huge variable is if a guy is ON or OFF. If you are natty, or OFF, no way in hell can you expect to recover at the same rate as ON. I myself hit each bdpt 1x per week, but I kick ass when I'm there.
I can say this - in the 2 years I've been in the Philippines, I see most training with waaay too much volume and not enough intensity. Example, on chest day, many will do damn near every exercise in the book for like 4 sets each - there 2-3 hours for chest only. That's loko loko haha!

Hi Sir, nice input.
May I request you to please create your journal here?
It would be a great help for us to learn from someone who has a lot of experience like you. I'm really interested on how you train, what does your diet look like etc etc..
