first foremost 2 weeks of bulking is "way too short" to see visible gains even guys using "super-supps" work their asses off at least 5-6 weeks before they see visible gains. Do not focus on the "scale" (your weight), focus more on what you see in the mirror. if you think you have packed enough mass in your frame then you can decide whether to cut or not.

well normal cycle is bulking (build lean mass and accumulate a bit of fat along the process) first then cutting (shed away the fats that were gained during bulking so that you can "sculpt" the lean mass to pop-out in your frame. even brad pitt, hugh jackman and other celebs have done the same cycle when they portrayed characters that were relatively "lean" (yes some of them only look big because of low body fat and more lean mass in their frame). there is another one that we call "body recompostion" its gaining muscle while burning the fat but its a bit of a slow process and kinda tedious at some point. you could also get the lean physique through that.

So my current weight might just be temporary? Sort of a body shock? I was surprised I gained weight in a very short amount of time. The only change I made was I was force feeding at my scheduled meal times which is 2 hours apart from each other. I also started to take ON Serious Mass when I don't feel like eating whole foods on my meal schedule.

Will post again when I reach 160lbs.

Most of it is likely water weight, a bit of muscle and a bit of fat perhaps. pag nagincrease ka kasi ng intake mo ng food lalo na carbs tendency is your body will hold more water w/c is common. just be consistent on your workout, keep it intense, eat and rest properly :) oh and one more thing "do not hurry" give it time nobody got muscular overnight keep us updated sa progress mo sir.

sir seanzyville, i started last may 15, and bought mass gainer last may 30. i only drink my mass gainer every WO days and just get my macros from whole foods most of the time.

    nice progress sir!!
  • thanks guys! stay safe from the floods!
  • Will finally finish the 12 week program of Jim Stoppani tonight. Whew!

I am thinking of continuing the micro-cycle program since it works for me specially in gaining strength but I am also curious about the popular 5x5 program I read here all the time.

I started BP at 50lbs and after 3 months I can do 150lbs in good form (thanks to the tips I got from PBB about proper form) with the micro cycle program.

There are a lot of varieties of the 5x5, which variety do u guys think is the best?

Thanks bro, seems to be a good program but I noticed there was no workout to target the abs?

It is a functional routine used for developing strength by focusing on big compound lifts (DL, Squat, Bench Press). If you're worried about your abs, then do isolation work on your abs. Though it's been my experience that you don't need to do actual ab work because the simple act of stabilizing yourself with weight above your head (MP) or stabilizing the torso while doing rows will take care of it for you. Squat and DL are definitely a strong "core" exercise for your abs as well when done correctly.

If your goal is getting a set of six pack abs, it's not going to be enough to just do crunches or sit ups in the gym and get your cardio training in. To really get the results, you're going to have to be carefully monitoring your diet intake. (low BF)

Hi, thanks. I had to change some of the workouts because I wanted to use the cables on some exercises such as the bicep curl. I think what's important in the JS program is following the reps per week with the drop-sets and rest pause. I also printed out the program which helps me to track my progress.

I may also continue with the JS program beyond the 12 weeks if I can't find a program I like.
