MMOEXP:WoW Cataclysm Classic meets the requirements

"Blizzard Entertainment has always been in close contact together with Classification Board for all its titles," Blizzard told P2Pah AU. "However back in 2004 we were informed that by the Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC) that the online-only nature of WoW cataclysm Gold was unclassifiable according to its rules for computer-based games the time. Recent changes made by the Classification Board have resulted in the possibility of classifying games online-only, like WoW Cataclysm Classic."

However, it is the Australian Classification Board remains adamant that its position in defining what qualifies as an "computer game" hasn't changed since the year 2004, the year that WoW Cataclysm Classic was first filed.

"It it is Board's belief that WoW Cataclysm Classic meets the requirements for a computer game as defined in the Classification Act and therefore can be classified," the Board told P2Pah AU. "This is in keeping with the intent to use the National Classification Scheme to provide consumers and parents with information on the classification game's content."

The Classification Board would not comment on the "recent modifications" the department has made for it to be more easy for players to classify online games, just declaring that:

"The Classification Board has been keeping track of the latest developments of online casino."
