  • Sorry i don't know if I'm replying on the correct thread for this. I've been reading the threads about the CNC products and pricing, and the different brand of whey protein. I just want to inquire on what are your feedback regarding SEI Max protein. I saw the ad in Sulit and the its pretty impressive. Price is PHP 1900.00 with 75 servings. Your feedback on this product would be much appreciated.

    Btw, I was using Muscletech 100% whey protein, product is pretty good also pricing and results as well. Thanks PBB.com

    Wag ka mag expect ng instant results sa whey. Sa totoo lang whey ang minsan hindi mo mapapansin kung gumagana compared sa mga pre-wo alam mo agad kung gumagana sayo. Protein powder lang yan pndagdag lang sa kinakaen mo.

    share ko lang yung experience ko with whey protein. One of the things that im looking for is the anabolic effect when im taking whey protein post WO and after starving for long hours. Whey (BCAA is insulinogenic) can cause an insulin spike like also, just like carbs. but you will hardly notice it when mix whey with carbs. So when it comes to that "effect", the first thing Im looking for is the protein blend and the source. WPI and hydrolized whey usually give me that anabolic response everytime i take it on the above scenarios (especially during cutting). This is an individual thing, because if your purpose of taking whey is to just meet your protein requirements then go ahead and take any blend and any brand. I've been taking whey for many years (lahat na halos ng lumabas s CNC kahit nung nasa parking lot pa yung Anselka at Tia Loleng) i can tell what is the superior brand from the cheap one by how it affects my growth. Although mapapansin mo na same lang ingredients nila kadalasan, ang problem here is the source of raw materials.

    may nabasa ako dati na interview with Hany Rambod when he was formulating EVP, marami daw cheap sources ng BCAA from china kaso ayaw nya gamitin for his formula kahit pa mura kasi galing sa chicken feathers or human hair ata yung BCAA. ewan kung totoo... pero not all proteins are the same talaga.

    Kaya nga before laging ON or Dymatize lang ako dahil maganda blend niya, Parehong Isolates-Concentrates-Hydrolyzed. Less fillers. Unlike ng cheaper brands like mutant, Concentrate ang una. Meaning majority ng ingredients ay concentrates. Plus, kinocompute ko muna kung nakakatipid ba talaga ko, protein content per serving and number of total servings sa tub/bag. Never ako nakatry ng pure Iso or Hydro dahil masiyado ng mahal para sakin.

    Kapag tipid na ko sa budget siyempre alangan umarte pa ko, Mutant at PM7 ang sagot hahaha! Bonus nga sa PM7 kasi ang blend niya una pa din si Isolate.

    Kaya lang ang sabi kasi ni markman na "baka kung hindi naman effective eh sayang lang ang pera" kaya sabi ko hindi niya naman mararamdaman agad agad ung effect ng whey. Para kasing nageexpect agad ng all kindzzz of gainzzz.

    ^ madalas after 40 minutes of taking my shake, lumalabas mga ugat ko at sumisikip yung skin ko. Any brand basta solid yung source ganun experience ko at feeling busog after. Pag inferior brand gustohin ko man paniwalaan na ok sya, walang effect e.

    ah ganun pala yun, when I take my shake or mixture with oatmeal after workout ang pakiramdam ko eh baby na ko like antok ng todo at sluggish na, yun an siguro yng sinasbi na insulin spike.

    Ano po yung mga cheap brands? Or mga maissugest ninyong iwasan at ano yung dapat gamitin?

    hydrolized and isolate usually ang mga sources na maganda pero mahal syempre. cheaper sources are concentrates, soy protein, wheat protein, at mga blends ng protein (madami yun e). wag na tayo mag name ng brand kasi choice mo naman yun kung san ka panatag at kung swak sa budget. ang maganda naman sa mga brands ngayon ay naglevelup sila sa formula (meron pa din mga ilan na yun pa din walang pinagbago). mas ok compared nung first ako nagsupplement back in 2007. basta check the ingredients lagi. :)

  • Good day mga sir, meron na ba kayo na encounter na nagbebenta na "REPACKED" na ON Gold Whey Standard? someone texted me if gusto ko daw kumuha sakanya ng GOLD Standard and take note "REPACKED" dont know kung authentic siya or what. Seller din kasi ako ng mga supplements maybe he tried to supply Gold Standard sakin. Heads up ko lang kayo guys...

    ^madaming ganyan sa kalawang gym ung naka-plastic pa nga ng yelo 1 scoop 50pesos. Pero kung repacked 1,5,10lbs di pako nakaka encounter nyan.

    Basta if in doubt, don't buy. Lalo pa't inilalagay sa katawan natin yang mga yan nakatipid nga gastos naman pang ospital.

    Xtend as far as I know is BCAA and is best taken pre or intra workout. Amino is taken usually taken postworkout or any other time of the day to augment your protein needs :)
