share ko lang yung experience ko with whey protein. One of the things that im looking for is the anabolic effect when im taking whey protein post WO and after starving for long hours. Whey (BCAA is insulinogenic) can cause an insulin spike like also, just like carbs. but you will hardly notice it when mix whey with carbs. So when it comes to that "effect", the first thing Im looking for is the protein blend and the source. WPI and hydrolized whey usually give me that anabolic response everytime i take it on the above scenarios (especially during cutting). This is an individual thing, because if your purpose of taking whey is to just meet your protein requirements then go ahead and take any blend and any brand. I've been taking whey for many years (lahat na halos ng lumabas s CNC kahit nung nasa parking lot pa yung Anselka at Tia Loleng) i can tell what is the superior brand from the cheap one by how it affects my growth. Although mapapansin mo na same lang ingredients nila kadalasan, ang problem here is the source of raw materials.
may nabasa ako dati na interview with Hany Rambod when he was formulating EVP, marami daw cheap sources ng BCAA from china kaso ayaw nya gamitin for his formula kahit pa mura kasi galing sa chicken feathers or human hair ata yung BCAA. ewan kung totoo... pero not all proteins are the same talaga.
